By posting, replying, or attaching a file here, you agree to the guidelines below. Livable Telluride reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove any post, reply, comment, or attached file that does not meet these guidelines, and to suspend or remove accounts for repeated or serious violations.
What works here
Stay on topic. Keep posts relevant to Livable Telluride, the webpage, and the community issues being discussed.
Cite sources. When possible, support factual claims with reliable sources, links, documents, or firsthand information.
Attack ideas, not people. Disagree with arguments, policies, and proposals without insulting or targeting individuals.
Propose, don't just complain. If you identify a problem, try to suggest a solution, next step, or constructive alternative.
Remember this is public. Assume your post may be seen by neighbors, public officials, journalists, and other community members.
What gets removed
Livable Telluride may remove content that includes any of the following:
Personal attacks, harassment, threats, or intimidation. Content aimed at insulting, bullying, threatening, or frightening a person or group.
Doxxing. Sharing personal information about someone without consent, including home address, phone number, email address, workplace details, family information, or other identifying details.
Hate speech or discriminatory content. Content that attacks, degrades, or excludes people based on protected characteristics, including race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected class under applicable law.
Deliberate misinformation. Knowingly false factual claims or content presented as fact that the poster knows is untrue. Good-faith disagreement or contested interpretation is allowed.
Spam, paid promotion, repeated posting, or off-topic content. Unsolicited advertising, commercial promotion, duplicate posts, mass posting, or content that is not relevant to the discussion.
Impersonation. Pretending to be a government official, Livable Telluride staff, another user, or any other person or organization.
Illegal content. Content that encourages or facilitates illegal conduct, including incitement, organized harassment, or copyright or other intellectual-property violations.
Moderation rights
Livable Telluride may:
remove content that violates these guidelines;
edit formatting or move posts for administrative reasons;
limit posting privileges, suspend accounts, or remove accounts for repeated or serious violations;
act without notice when necessary to protect the community or the integrity of the page.
Important note. These guidelines are intended to support constructive public discussion. Livable Telluride may remove content that undermines that purpose, even if the content does not fall neatly within one of the categories above.
