Shandoka Resident Survey is now closed
The proposed Shandoka / Lot L development
Thank you — the survey has closed
We are no longer accepting responses. The results are published below, and we are sharing them with the Telluride Town Council.
You can still comment — directly to HARC
If you did not get a chance to have your say in the survey, send your comments straight to the Town for the HARC hearing on Wednesday, August 19 at 5:30 PM. Written comments become part of the public record for that meeting.
✉ Email your comment to the TownWrite it in your own words. A few specific sentences about how this affects you carries far more weight with a board than a form letter.
Top: the birds-eye view from the Town's application. Bottom: a street-level view from Black Bear Road, drawn from about 5.5 feet above the ground, which is roughly eye level.
- The Town of Telluride is considering a major redevelopment of the parking area in front of Shandoka. The current concept includes a parking structure with approximately 900 parking spaces and roughly 50 to 60 residential units. The parking will replace the parking at Carhenge, providing parking for all of Shandoka residents as well.
- Story poles are now being installed to help show the proposed scale and height.
- We are asking Shandoka residents what they know about the proposal and what they think about it.
The birds-eye view is the Town's own, from the project materials. The street-level view was drawn by Livable Telluride to show the same buildings at eye level.
This survey was anonymous. No identifying information was collected. What we publish below is the summary; individual written comments are not posted, because a person can be recognised from what they wrote. The full results, comments included, go to the Telluride Town Council.
